In level 2, participants will leave this course with an in-depth knowledge of how to use and how to apply Myofascial Compression Techniques (MCT) in order to increase their clients' performance and training results by using Trigger Point Performance Kit (MCT tools).
3. What is the difference between SMR and MCT – what do they mean?
SMR stands for "self myofascial release". Myofascial release is a method of soft-tissue therapy that is used by a licensed hands-on therapist in an effort to "release" tissue that has become restricted. Self myofascial release is when an individual attempts to reproduce a similar effect as the therapist with some sort of an object. This is intended to complement the work of a licensed therapist and not to replace them. The most popular object today is a foam roller. MCT stands for Myofascial Compression Techniques. This a trademarked term by Trigger Point which means to build compression in a targeted area and then to take the joint closest to the roller (but on the other side of the body) through normal range of motion. This helps to break up tissue, increase blood flow, increase range of motion and restore overall normal movement patterns.
4. What Trigger Point product would I get in Level 2?
Trigger Point Performance Kit, it includes one FootBaller, one QuadBaller, two TP Massage Balls, one TP2 Sleeve, and one Baller Block.
